Job Description
This is a hands on, visible and strategic role that will work with all levels of administrative, consultative, and executive personnel of the company. We are looking for a Technical Account Director who can also act as a project manager for complex projects and assist our sales team by performing technical pre-sales support for our clients and prospects.
Specific responsibilities include:
Technical Account Management
- Responsible for building and maintaining long-term relationships with our customers by meeting with them on a consistent basis
- Recognize opportunities by understanding our customers business needs and technical challenges
- Provide our customers with solutions that align with our products and services to ensure customer satisfaction and retention
Project Management
- Oversee the planning, execution and delivery of complex projects to our customers
- Ensure projects meet the agreed upon scope, budget, timeline, and quality standards
- Communicate with stakeholders, manage risks and issues, and handle change requests
Pre-Sales Support
- Assist sales team in preparing proposals, demos, presentations, and proofs of concepts for potential customers
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to the sales team and potential customers during the sales cycle
- Technical proposal review to ensure solutions are accurate and complete
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned from time to time
Required Skills/Experience
- BA-BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related experience
- Minimum 5-years’ experience in a technical account management, project management, or pre-sales support role in a technology company
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Strong technical knowledge and skills in infrastructure, cloud computing, and security
- Willingness to travel occasionally to meet customers and attend events
- Hands-on work style with great communication skills while being a team player and willing to roll up your sleeves to get the job done
