Senior Network Architect
iCorps Technologies is seeking a Senior Network Architect with 10 years experience. This role is to strategically design and implement enterprise information systems and network architectures for our clients. This individual will gain organizational commitment for all systems and technology plans, as well as evaluate and select all technologies required to complete those plans. In addition, the Senior Network Architect provides technical leadership across the organization, from strategic decision making down to the project planning level.
Role and Responsibilities:
 Responsible for the development of network solutions in support of complex business and mission requirements
Evaluates networking technologies, software, systems, and services to develop technical solutions, keeps abreast of vendor products and services commercially available in the marketplace.
Develops and generates conceptual, logical, and physical network architectures, resulting documents and drawings, testing analyses, test plans, and risk assessments to ensure sound architecture.
Participates as the lead Networking subject matter expert in the development of solutions in support of new business and application expansion.
Researches technological advancements to ensure that data networking solutions are continuously improved, supported, and aligned with industry and company standards.
Evaluates complex data networking technologies to understand their potential and recommends future direction.
Evaluates cost analysis and vendor comparisons for large scale projects to ensure cost-effective and efficient operations, and measures feasibility of various approaches.
Ensures adherence to model created and overall budgetary guidelines.
Recommends complex investment decisions to management based on results of independent assessment of current and future data network performance, stability, and network management issues.
Design, configure and install complex network systems.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Hands on working knowledge of Microsoft, VMware, and firewalls (either SonicWall or Cisco)
Bachelors Degree
Cisco switch configuration understand, implement and develop switch configurations
Network troubleshooting experience which includes packet trace and Sniffer analysis, as well as switch configuration analysis
MPLS familiarization including class of service configuration
Understanding and familiarity with firewalls and Firewall configuration; understanding and familiarity with IPS devices and policy implementation,
Experience with enterprise network design including WAN and LAN topologies and security concerns regarding DMZ implementation
Security experience as it applies to compliance, protection of assets, and company security
Experience with design, configuration, and support of reverse proxies
Must have hands on working knowledge of a wide range of network technologies in a variety of environments such as LAN, Data Center , WAN, Unified Communications, Transport services, and Mobility. Knowledge and expertise across multiple vendors (ie: firewalls, switches, routers, load balancers, DNS), as well as Microsoft enterprise solutions.
Provides tier 3 troubleshooting support with the most complex data and hardware problems; researches and analyzes significant, complex network problems that require evaluation of intangibles, such as downstream effects on client satisfaction; assesses and evaluates current and future systems.
Demonstrates experience in leading a team that analyzes, designs, troubleshoots, and implements network architectures and solutions in order to best meet application requirements; leverages resources from different teams to ensure that customer needs are met.
Determines methods and procedures to be implemented and used on the most complex new technologies to enhance performance.
Must understand, design and implement virtualization solutions based on multiple vendor technology (Vmware, Microsoft, Citrix, etc)
Recommended Certifications:
MCITP, VCP, Firewall (either SonicWall or Cisco), EMCP, CISSP, SCSE
