Boston, MA – (October 26, 2009)

Mass High Tech has announced that iCorps Technologies is among the recipients of its 2009 TechCitizenship Awards. The TechCitizenship Awards, now in their 10th year, recognize technology companies that have gone the extra mile in supporting charitable, non-profit and community organizations throughout New England.

The 24 companies have given back to their communities through monetary support, donations in kind such as software and website development, and employee volunteer work. The companies are based in New England or have significant operations in the region, and have supported a broad range of organizations, including educational initiatives, local schools, science and robotics competitions, housing programs, environmental efforts and medical research programs. The honorees were selected based on the value of their contributions as a percentage of annual revenue.

The honorees will be recognized at a breakfast event on Friday, November 20, at the Seaport Hotel in Boston. They also will be featured in a special report in the November 18 issue of Mass High Tech. As part of the event, a panel of top executives from several of the honored companies will join in a discussion of how companies can continue to support community and charitable organizations even during tough economic times.

“Everyone has felt the pain of the economic crisis over the past year. Yet, these companies, even if they faced business challenges, have continued to step up and support organizations that do good work. Without their generous support many community-based organizations wouldn’t be able to deliver their valuable services to children and others in need,” said Mass High Tech editor E. Douglas Banks.
